VEST offers this training in-person and on Zoom to the public, individuals, county departments and groups. The 40-hour training is accordance with California Code 1037.1. Individuals who complete this 40-hour training program and a successful evaluation thereafter will become a qualified Domestic Violence Counselor.
This training certifies individuals to advocate and counsel victims of domestic violence at shelter programs, counseling centers, hospitals and mental health programs. The 40-hour training meets the California State requirements for counseling, facilitating groups, individual case management and is recognized across the country.
You must be at least 18 years old to participate.
