Solano County District Attorney's Office Hosts Event Honoring Domestic Violence Awareness Month

We were honored to participate in an empowering event in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), where our founder, Tanya Brownrigg, served as the keynote speaker. The event was centered around the theme HEAL, HOLD, CENTER.

  • HEAL: Embracing the many cultural ways we can heal from violence and oppression.

  • HOLD: Committing to holding space for survivors.

  • CENTER: Centering those most marginalized in all our efforts to end domestic violence.

Solano County came together to embody these principles, working collaboratively to address and prevent domestic violence in our community.

A heartfelt thank you to the Solano County District Attorney's Office, in collaboration with the Fairfield Police Department, Vacaville Police Department, and Suisun City Police Department, for hosting this impactful event. We are especially grateful for the opportunity our founder, Tanya Brownrigg, had to share her empowering story and the inspiration behind the creation of VEST.

Together, we continue to heal from violence, hold space for survivors, and center the voices of those most marginalized. Let's honor these commitments as we strive to end domestic violence in all its forms.
