1st Annual 2024 Empowerment Walk/Stroll Against Domestic Violence

We are excited to share the success of our 1st Annual Empowerment Walk/Stroll Against Domestic Violence! Held in collaboration with Solano Community College, the event united community leaders, survivors, and supporters in taking a stand against domestic violence.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our generous sponsors—Audina Pavalley, DJ Khaos, Revana Winery, NCNW, The Empowerment Project, Solano Advocates for Victims, Act Now Tax Services, Z&Z Portrait House, and A Fresh Start—for their unwavering support.

Inspiring messages were shared by Assemblywoman Lori D. Wilson, District Attorney Krishna Abrams, Dr. Moss representing Senator Bill Dodd, and our Founder & Executive Director Tanya Brownrigg. Survivors Miss California Hailey Kenyon and Kyara Bryant courageously shared their stories, offering hope and empowerment to others.

Thank you to everyone who participated and made this day meaningful. Together, we're raising awareness, supporting survivors, and working towards a future free from domestic violence. Relive some of the inspiring moments from the event below!

It’s inspiring to see such influential community leaders like Solano County District Attorney Krishna Abrams, Assemblywoman Lori Wilson, and Senator Dodd’s representative, Gethsemane Moss, Ed.D., National Council of Negro Women and Dr. Saki Cabrera come together in support of domestic violence survivors. Their presence reinforces the importance of collaboration between government, law enforcement, academic leaders, and advocacy groups to create real change and support survivors.

A balloon release is a poignant and symbolic way to honor those who have tragically lost their lives to domestic violence. It serves as a visual reminder of the gravity of this issue and a way for the community to come together in remembrance and solidarity.
